Civil Engineering Design (K) Ltd is a Nairobi-based consulting practice offering civil and structural engineering design and contract supervision — trusted by developers, architects and contractors across East Africa.
A firm built on technical depth, not scale
Civil Engineering Design (K) Ltd has been in continuous operation for over fifteen years, undertaking a wide range of civil and structural engineering projects across Kenya. Our work spans building structures as well as infrastructure — including roads and highways, port facilities, and water supply and sewerage schemes.
The firm carries a staff complement of 28, including 13 qualified structural and civil engineers, supported by CAD technicians, administrative and site-based staff. Where a project calls for specialist expertise outside our core disciplines, we form associations with other firms to keep delivery timely and efficient.
Every design is produced on modern structural analysis and CAD software, with reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules generated in-house — so what reaches site is precise, coordinated and buildable.

The firm is managed by Hardip Sura, a Chartered Engineer with over 45 years of professional experience. He specialises in project administration, design and construction supervision of structures for both buildings and infrastructure — including airports, roads and highways, port facilities and quays, and water supply and sewerage schemes.
