Basic Kileleshwa is located along Mandera Road, opposite NHD, in Kileleshwa — a vibrant cosmopolitan area attracting middle to upper-income families, with a location designed to bring daily convenience under one roof. The mall features a curated mix of luxury brands, independent boutiques, and a refreshed department store, with skylights and hanging plants replacing conventional fluorescent lighting. Its open-plan design uses vast skylights, high ceilings, and glass-fronted stores to create a spacious, naturally lit shopping environment rather than a typical enclosed mall.
CED provided civil and structural engineering services for the project. The result is a naturally lit, open-plan retail centre engineered to support a modern shopping and lifestyle destination in one of Nairobi’s established residential neighbourhoods.
