Project Summary

The Hub Karen is a mixed-use complex set on 20 acres in the heart of Karen, Nairobi’s green suburb. The mall opened on 4 February 2016, with its first phase covering 35,000 square metres of gross area featuring retail spaces, offices, a gym, a kids’ play area, a game area, medical access, and outdoor aerial activities, centred on a 2,000 square-metre piazza. It now hosts over 85 stores and receives roughly 55,000 visitors per week.

CED provided civil and structural engineering services for the project. The result is a large-scale mixed-use mall engineered to support high visitor volumes, multi-level retail, and recreational facilities across a 20-acre site.
